Foster friends past and present....

This is Cookie, a 2 and a half year old(in this photo) English Pointer. We found her when she was lost and she stayed with us for 3 days. She is very sweet , affectionate and very smart, and loves to chase/hunt birds of any kind ! We enjoyed having her around very much and we were able to happily reunite her with her family.

YES, Cats are friends too !!!!

This is princess Kitty Summerfield, "Summer" for short,. She was a stray that came to live with us on our patio around the middle/end of Summer, 2000. She is now in a safe & warm foster home with the help of The Shamrock Foundation. Though we miss having her around, we are so very glad that she has a warm home. and hopefully, soon, will have a very loving permanent home. She is such an affectionate & sweet cat and deserves as good & loving home as that.

UPDATE: Summer is now living & loving it up with her new permanent family...her new name is Fiona.

This is Sherman, a.k.a."Wookie Bear", we are fostering him until he finds a permanent family to live with. Sherman was with The Shamrock Foundation.

Sherman was rescued from a "backyard" of 80+ dogs in Palmyra, Indiana, where he lived among these other dogs, confined outside, in terrible conditions. He is about 2 years old at his time of rescue and though he is still learning how to be an "inside house doggie", he is a very sweet, affectionate little guy who loves to be loved on and more than willing to return that love & is making great progress each day.

He is very much the "Lap Dog", ooohhhh, what a Sweetie !!!

UPDATE: Sherman is now with his forever family, ruling the house & having soo much fun.....he is very much loved and returns that love equally.
